What is Webmail?

Webmail is a web application that allow users to read and write emails using a web browser (like Internet Explorer), as opposed to through an application such as Mozilla's Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook. A major advantage of web-based email over application-based email is that a user has the ability to access their inbox from almost *any* Internet-connected computer.
